A Quick Word From Miss Shilling

A QUICK WORD FROM MS SHILLING
ELECTRONICS:
Because we are such an awesome class of learners, we recently had a celebration in the form of an “electronics session” and a shared lunch.
We played “kid-friendly” games on the playstation and X-box, sang on Sing-Star, honed our math skills on the Smartkiddies website and ate our way through an amazing range of delicious food for lunch.
Alicia even made an incredible cake in the shape of a volcano! ( We are just beginning a study of Volcanoes).
A BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO BAKED, COOKED OR BOUGHT SOMETHING FOR OUR SHARED LUNCH!
COMMITTED OPTIMISTS:
You may have noticed the “3 reasons to be positive” column in the BOP Times each night. It has certainly caught my eye and I got to thinking that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to talk about it with the class, and there are certainly a few students (and their teacher!) in Room 12 who could do with a bit of positive thinking.
We have set a challenge to become “committed optimists” and are having lots of healthy and valuable discussions and learning sessions based around this theme.
We will be regularly posting our own “Reasons to be Positive” on the class blog. Perhaps you can add some of your own!
Donelle
