ROOM 12 UPDATE

Hi this is Room12’s blog. We are a class of year 5/6 students. Our teacher is Ms Donelle Shilling. There are thirty kids in our class. Some of our favourite subjects are; Art, P.E, Chunk Check Cheer and Reading.

Last term our Topic was ‘Te Puna our Place’, one of the things we had to do was make a poster about our house like we were selling it. Then we had to write some history about our families and then do a big research project about a place of importance in Te Puna.

At the end of the term Ms Shilling was a bit sick (for a week at least,) so we had a reliever teacher to fill in for Ms Shilling, her name was Miss Neilson. It was quite a long time so we got a bit behind but we are back on track now.

This Term started with a Museum Night to display all our findings on Te Puna. It was full of facts and full of fun. If you didn’t come along to see it you missed out!
We have started writing our speeches; they have to be finished by week six.

We will be studying Volcanoes for the next two terms. In week four of term four we are going to Rotorua for our camp. We will learn heaps about volcanic activity.

Next Monday (because we were being good) we are having a sheared lunch and an electronics day. Every one can bring anything electronic. It will be so fun!
